James R. Geisler Middle School (formerly known as Walled Lake Junior High School and/or Walled Lake Middle School)(also known as Geisler Middle School, GMS, Geisler Wolves, and Walled Lake Geisler) is a public school located in Walled Lake, Michigan. As one of the four middle schools in Walled Lake Consolidated Schools[1], it includes grades sixth through eighth, and has a total of 870 students and 90 staff members. This school is named after the former superintendent of Walled Lake Consolidated Schools, James R. Geisler, and honors his work and dedication to the district.

As well as learning fundamental subjects like Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and English, James R. Geisler provides with other extended concept subjects. Here is a list of the elective subjects available at James. R. Geisler: Art, Physical Education, Design Technology, Communication Arts, Life Management, World Language, Information Technology, Vocal Music, Band, and Orchestra (Starting in the school year of 2008/2009, many opinions of students and staff members at James R. Geisler have decided to no longer keep Information Technology as an elective subject due to the strong technological environment present within the school and the district. Communication Arts was discontinued at Geisler Middle School only from 2009-2011 due to lack of interest, but will return in the 2011-2012 school year, along with German being added to one of the languages offered for eighth grade students. The International Baccalaureate Middle Years program will begin at Geisler in the spring of 2013, in conjunction with Walled Lake Western High School.
